About Us
Gaming is the cheapest hobby by far. Even the most expensive games have a lower $/hr cost than the perceived cheapest hobbies. For example, if you bought a $1,000 game (these do not exist unless you are a gigawhale) and spent 100 hours on it, your gaming costs are $10/hr, which is nothing compared to going to the club, bar, or almost any other hobby. Now if you take a $10 game and spend 1,000 hours on it, the costs becomes a penny.
I love gaming, but I hate buying games. In an era where AAA games sell for $70 and come incomplete with multiple $10 DLCs that should have been in the base game, I have set out on a quest to find and play good affordable games. I also noticed that games do not focus on fun anymore. They focus on profit. Microtransactions, DLCs, pay to win, and more! Who enjoys that? Not me! I miss the days where I could buy a completed AAA game for $50. I miss the days of enjoying $10-$30 games from smaller companies for hours and hours on. These still exist–it’s just hard to find. Luckily there are tons of cheap games available in ways you didn’t know!
Free Games
There are many free games, and the list is more than League of Legends. Epic Games releases a new free game every week, but often times they are not what you are looking for, same for Amazon Games. I will review games to let you know which are good and which are bad
Subscriptions
You may have access to games you didn’t know! For example, if you have a Netflix subscription, you have access to a huge library of games, and some of them are very high quality, such as Into the Breach which I bought at full price years ago.
There are also game subscriptions such as Humble Choice from Humble Bundle which offers tons of games at a very low price. The options are endless here for the frugal gamer, and if you can’t find a game that you enjoy when you open your Steam library full of 1,000 games, maybe the issue is with you and not the game 🙂
